The need to replace fossil fuels and the arrival of new uses have a trendy increase in wooden needs: at least twice our current consumption by 2050 according to the scenarios of transitions published by ADEME.

La nécessité de se substituer aux combustibles fossiles et l'arrivée de nouveaux usages ont pour effet une augmentation tendancielle des besoins en bois : au moins deux fois notre consommation actuelle d'ici à 2050 d'après les scénarios de Transitions publiés par l'ADEME.
Or, le déficit commercial en bois de la France s'est encore creusé en 2022, atteignant 10 MM€ de perte, soit l'équivalent de 15% de notre production nationale que nous importons chaque année.
Pourtant, du bois, il y en a. Dans nos haies, nos jardins, nos rues. Mais cette ressource inépuisable reste peu valorisée car trop hétérogène : elle est intégralement compostée de manière industrielle, avec 20% de perte de matière dans le processus.
Grâce à un procédé novateur de prétraitement de la matière, Melia valorise ce bois bocager pour produire des granulés fiables et écologiques, destinés au chauffage des particuliers, entreprises et collectivités.
