L’agence créée en 1990 à Paris par Philippe Ameller et Jacques Dubois, a développé au fil des ans des compétences particulières dans quelques grands domaines, sans pour autant s’orienter vers une spécialisation. Elle a d’abord développé son activité dans les équipements d’enseignement, de sécurité et de santé puis dans l'architecture de logements collectifs et les équipements culturels en France et à l’étranger.
Ensemble ils cosignent de nombreuses commandes publiques et privées ; entre autres le Commissariat de Provins, les logements Boucicaut à Paris (première ZAC éco certifiée de France), le groupe scolaire Pierre Perret à Serris et les Halles de Pau. Une exposition leur est consacrée en 2016 à la Galerie d’architecture à Paris.
