By the Bay organizes the yearly {Big Data, Scala, Text, Data} By the Bay conferences, partnering with companies like Nitro, Lightbend, Twitter, IBM, Cloudera, and others to advance a vibrant open-source ecosystem. Our "SMACK stack"​ is centered around the Data Pipelines with Scala, Akka, Kafka, Spark, and friends. Our data engineering enables scalable data science for Machine Learning, including Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, AI/IoT, streaming data processing, and more. By the Bay publishes all the technical talks from the meetups and conferences it helps organize on functional.tv.
