At Amatera, we are accelerating the natural evolution of plants to create the coffee and perennial crop varieties of tomorrow.
We started first with coffee, because while we drink a trillion cups of coffee every year, number expected to triple by 2050, rising temperatures will reduce, in the meantime, the area suitable for growing coffee by up to 50%.
It is urgent to make coffee varieties more sustainable and climate resistant to fill that massive demand.
