    The recycling action platform bringing together the entire glass packaging ecosystem.

    Close The Glass Loop is the European platform for the glass packaging collection & recycling value chain.

    Our vision is to achieve full actual recycling of collected glass packaging, by working in partnership with the whole value chain to make sure our Circular Economy works better.

    We want to achieve 90% average EU collection rate of used glass packaging by 2030 and better quality of recycled glass, so more recycled content can be used in a new production loop.

    The platform was founded in June 2020 and brings together 14 European associations: ACR+, AIJN, CEEV, EFBW, Eurocities, EXPRA, FERVER, FEVE, HOTREC, Municipal Waste Europe, PROFEL, PROSPA (represented by CITEO), Soft Drinks Europe & spiritsEUROPE.

    It is currently active in 13 countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, UK.
