    Going to nail salons today is like drinking cheap pink rosé at a gender reveal party: you'll take what you can get because it's better than nothing. If you want your nails done, you can go to a grimy hole-in-the-wall with reliably decent manicures OR you can go to a high-end spa for an exorbitant price and stuffy customer service. Enter Lacquerbar.

    Much like Soulcycle, Drybar, Warby Parker, and Blue Bottle, who focus on a branded customer experience in-store and online, we will offer a fresh new concept in the $8.53B fragmented nail salon industry. There are over 60K nail salons in the US, none of which have dominant market share or economies of scale.

    What makes us any different from any other nail salon that wants to create a national chain and sell nail polishes? Not only do we offer all the bells and whistles when it comes to mani/pedi services, nail artistry, and handmade nail care products, but we also are a feminist playground. With our high ceilings, neon signs, portraits of inspiring women on the walls, tasty adult beverages, and upbeat hip hop and pop tunes, our space was designed specifically to be a destination for fun meetups, parties, and anyone who wants a boost of girl power. We also sell and serve alcoholic beverages at our nail stations and in our expanded lounge areas where clients can hang out pre- and post-appointment.

    But our biggest differentiator is our vision for the future. We aren't just about opening fun nail salons and selling cool beauty products. Our mission is to empower our teammates, clients, and women from all cultures and backgrounds with education, beauty, and confidence.
