AnotherBrain is a French company founded in 2017 by Bruno Maisonnier, father of the humanoid robots Nao and Pepper, to develop new artificial intelligence engines using singular approaches. Its research teams draw inspiration from the brain and collective intelligence of social insects to reproduce the equivalent of a piece of cortex on a microchip. This general-purpose, portable AI is far more powerful than current AIs, as it is frugal in data and energy, capable of learning unsupervised, in real-time, and of explaining its decisions.
In parallel, and response to a growing demand for intelligent automation solutions in industry, AnotherBrain has developed a quality control solution. This vision-based quality control solution reinvents intelligent defect detection in production methods. Initially robotized, this solution evolved in 2023 into a purely algorithmic "Blue Phosphor®" product.
AnotherBrain is a winner of the Plan France 2030 and raised 5 million euros in 2023 to strengthen its position as a leader in quality control via artificial intelligence.

AnotherBrain est une entreprise française fondée en 2017 par Bruno Maisonnier, père des robots humanoïdes Nao et Pepper qui développe de nouveaux moteurs d’intelligence artificielle grâce à des approches singulières. Ses équipes de chercheurs s’inspirent du fonctionnement du cerveau et de l’intelligence collective des insectes sociaux pour reproduire l’équivalent d’un bout de cortex sur une puce électronique. Cette IA générale et portative est beaucoup plus puissante que les IA actuelles car elle est frugale en données et en énergie, capable d’apprendre sans supervision, en temps réel et d’expliquer ses décisions.
En parallèle, et pour répondre à une demande croissante en solutions d’automatisation intelligentes dans l’industrie, AnotherBrain a développé une solution de contrôle qualité. Cette solution de contrôle qualité vision réinvente la détection de défauts intelligente dans les méthodes de production. D’abord robotisée, cette solution a évolué en 2023 vers un produit purement algorithmique « Blue Phosphor® ».
AnotherBrain est lauréate du Plan France 2030 et a levé 5 millions d’euro en 2023 pour renforcer sa position de leader du contrôle qualité via l’intelligence artificielle.
