L’Ana–Conservatoire d’espaces naturels Ariège se consacre à l’étude de la biodiversité, des milieux naturels, de la faune et de la flore et aux relations qui lient l’humain et la nature, à l’échelle du département de l’Ariège. Sa politique vise à favoriser l’ouverture en s’appuyant sur le dialogue et une dynamique de partenariat continue.
Sa vocation se décline en quatre axes clés :
- Connaître : enrichir la connaissance dans le domaine des sciences naturalistes,
- Transmettre et valoriser : mettre la somme de ces connaissances à la disposition du plus large public dans le respect de l’éthique morale et scientifique et mettre en lumière la richesse du patrimoine naturel à travers divers supports,
- Préserver : protéger les milieux et les espèces en tenant compte des enjeux liés aux activités humaines,
- Accompagner : permettre aux acteur·rices du territoire de prendre en compte et de valoriser la biodiversité locale.
