ARN regelt de inzameling en het transport van deze batterijen, waarbij aan de geldende, strenge milieuregels wordt voldaan. Verschillende partners van ARN maken afgedankte aandrijfbatterijen geschikt voor een tweede leven. Andere lithium-ion batterijen gaan naar gespecialiseerde recyclingbedrijven.
