Depuis 2009, nous développons une démarche innovante de réappropriation de savoirs paysans et d’autonomisation dans le domaine des agroéquipements adaptés à l’agriculture biologique. Nous nous sommes dotés en 2011 d’une structure adéquate, qui puisse réunir ce qu’il faut d’expertise pour valoriser des inventions fermières, co-développer avec des groupes de pratique agricole de nouvelles solutions techniques adaptées, et rendre accessibles ces connaissances par des documents didactiques papiers ou numériques et des formations à l’autoconstruction.
Nos salarié-e-s sont basé-e-s en Rhône-Alpes, et sur une antenne dans le Grand Ouest. L’acquisition de camions transportant machines, matériaux et consommables nécessaires à l’autoconstruction, nous permet aujourd’hui de conduire des chantiers d’autoconstruction en atelier ou « de fermes en fermes ». Partout où la demande s’exprime, nous souhaitons que l’Atelier Paysan puisse accompagner les agriculteurs et les agricultrices de toutes les filières de production, dans leurs cheminements et leurs tâtonnements, individuels et collectifs, autour des agroéquipements adaptés aux pratiques techniques et culturales de l’agriculture biologique.
