    Chaired by Kofi Annan the ten-member Africa Progress Panel advocates at the highest levels for equitable and sustainable development in Africa. In addition to Kofi Annan, the Panel currently consists of Michel Camdessus, Peter Eigen, Bob Geldof, Graça Machel, Strive Masiyiwa, Linah Mohohlo, General Olusegun Obasanjo, Robert E. Rubin and Tidjane Thiam.

    The Africa Progress Panel (APP) was formed as a vehicle to maintain a focus on the commitments to Africa made by the international community in the wake of the Gleneagles G8 Summit and of the Africa Commission report in 2007. In 2008, a secretariat chaired by Kofi Annan was established in Geneva.
