    We are preparing the rural area for the future.
    We are working to empower small family farmers with technology.

    TABIT is a social enterprise that we established in 2004 to solve for 3.000.000 farmers’s problems in Turkey. We build a platform which is Turkey’s first e-learning and e-commerce media, and meet a farmer’s every possible need in areas such as products , marketing and legislation.

    Now, not only by web portal, we accessed to farmers, through SMS, to make them aware, about all the agricultural information. Our target is the farmers that have problems to reach the agricultural data in rural area.

    Agriculture has an important role in Turkish economy. Turkey’s agricultural land which is 20% of the total agricultural land in the Eurpean Union, gives Turkey as a key rol in the region. Despite this key role, farmers faces, many problems, but we are working to increase level of education, efficiency and marketing possibilities. This makes farming more attractive for investors and younger generations.
    Our differrence lays on making together agriculture sector and information technology in Turkey. We have travelled to over 12.000 villages and identified, high mobile phone usage among rural population in Turkey. Then we started to use SMS and encouraged GSM usage as a part of our strategy. This strategy made farmers a new target market for information technology companies. Today, we reached over 1.400.000 farmers by using GSM technologies. After our projects, we were rewarded by many prizes in Turkey and in the world. Our business model, is consultancy for companies on agricultural sector. We have already introduced farmer-friendly credit cards, for the farmers who are able to spend all year and pay at the Harvest Time and Farmer’s Computer to the Turkish market.

    To make Turkish farmer’s and farmer families able to sell their products at the global market by using our portal and to establish “smart villages” by using technology in rural life.
