HealingCoral is a non-profit organization with operations throughout the Caribbean, particularly Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and the Virgin Islands, whose mission is to heal the relationship with the blue planet we inhabit. It is a holistic approach to a multidimensional problem; that combines art, 4.0 technologies, environmental education, and Decentralized Finance.

At the end of 2022, this initiative received international recognition from the United Nations in New York, when it was presented in the framework of the United Nations General Assembly at UNDP's Nature for Life Hub, as one of the 10 most disruptive innovations to close the funding gap for biodiversity regeneration. As it adopts the success of Results-Based Payments, to create a profitable business model for impact investors, also connecting with a DeFi growing market that according to Bloomberg in 2021 exceeded USD $100 billion.

In short, it is about the creation of Nature-Backed Crypto Assets, which by taking advantage of the rise of Regenerative Finance on the Web3 (ReFi) and the use of Artificial Intelligence, Satellite Monitoring, among others technologies that allow traceability and transparency in the use of resources, aims to become a Blue Impact DAO by 2025: a decentralized and autonomous governance model for the regeneration of public goods in the Caribbean, such as coral reefs. Unlike carbon or biodiversity credits, they do not aim to offset the footprint of other industries but to consolidate themselves as a new type of asset that is truly a benchmark for the regenerative economy. Something that Nature Markets has cataloged in its taxonomy as Financial Derivatives for ecosystem services.
