Son Conseil d'administration est le reflet de cette large représentation puisqu'y siègent des pharmaciens praticiens de C.H.U., de C.H. et de C.H.S., ainsi qu'un représentant des assistants.
Pour renforcer son action et la proximité avec ses adhérents, le SYNPREFH a développé dès 1984 une structure décentralisée autour de 21 délégations régionales. Un représentant des délégués régionaux siège au Conseil d'administration.
Le SYNPREFH compte actuellement près de 1000 membres actifs et représente plus des deux tiers des pharmaciens praticiens hospitaliers comme l'ont encore montré les dernières élections à la Commission Statutaire Nationale et au Conseil de Discipline en juin 1998. Il est ainsi le Syndicat de pharmaciens praticiens hospitaliers le plus représentatif de la profession et, à ce titre, siège au Conseil Supérieur des Hôpitaux où sont discutés les textes réglementaires importants pour l'hôpital et la profession.
Le SYNPREFH est très attaché aux principes démocratiques : écoute attentive des adhérents, collégialité de la décision, qualité et rigueur de l'information et de ses conseils, solidarité dans l'action.
