Fidocl is a federation of consulting companies for all cattle, goat and sheep farms in the Great South East. The companies of the Breeding Consulting Network aim to help breeders in the technical and economic driving of their breeding and exploitation, with the aim of improving production, product quality, income and durability of farming in the territory.
Two major activities make up the Breeding Council:

La FIDOCL est une fédération d’entreprises de conseil pour tous les élevages bovins, caprins et ovins du grand Sud-Est. Les entreprises du réseau Conseil Elevage ont pour but d’aider les éleveurs dans la conduite technico-économique de leur élevage et de leur exploitation, dans l’objectif d'améliorer la production, la qualité des produits, le revenu et la durabilité de l'élevage sur le territoire.
Deux activités majeures composent le conseil en élevage :
- Le Contrôle de Performance consiste à établir des mesures quantitatives et qualitatives du lait (matière protéique, matière grasse, cellules, acides gras...) ou de la croissance des animaux de viande. C’est l’activité historique des conseils en élevage.
- Le Conseil consiste à accompagner chaque éleveur de manière personnalisée dans la gestion de son troupeau et de son exploitation, sur la base des données du contrôle de performance et de données technico-économiques.
Les Conseil en Elevage sont des organisations professionnelles au services des éleveurs.
Cet accompagnement dans la conduite de leur exploitation se matérialise tout d’abord par une approche globale de leurs projets et de leur entreprise (humain, économie, troupeau, environnement, travail). Vient ensuite l’expertise du conseiller dans tous les domaines de la production : alimentation, fourrages, reproduction, qualité du lait, bâtiment, économie notamment. Enfin, le conseil consiste également en l’organisation de formations et animations collectives qui répondent aux besoins et attentes des éleveurs.
Le conseiller en élevage est donc une femme ou un homme de terrain, en contact direct avec les éleveurs. En plus de ses qualités relationnelles, il est à l’écoute, il sait s’adapter et être force de proposition.
Le métier est en constante évolution. Il innove et valorise les nouvelles technologies. Il intègre aussi les attentes sociétales et le réchauffement climatique : de nombreux défis que nous sommes prêts à relever pour accompagner les éleveurs.
