Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Transportation Enterprise Inc., continued its activities in yacht construction and repair until 1984 when it moved to the Tuzla Shipyards Region. The shares of the shipyard were transferred to the Koç Group on 26.06.1997 and as of August 1999, the company took the name RMK Marine Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Transportation Enterprise Inc.

    After joining the Koç Group, our shipyard built two military logistics ships and delivered them to the Turkish Naval Forces in 2000. RMK Marine won the tender for four “Coast Guard Search and Rescue” ships opened by the Ministry of National Defense for the Coast Guard Command in 2006, becoming the first shipyard to undertake the largest combat ship project in the history of the private sector. The project, consisting of 4 military ships with a length of 88 meters and a width of 12 meters, was started with a ceremony held on May 3, 2008. The ships TCSG Dost, TCSG Güven and TCSG Umut were delivered to the Coast Guard Command in 2013, and TCSG Yaşam in 2014.

    RMK Marine, which closely follows innovations in the sector and develops its product range accordingly, is one of the leading shipyards of the Turkish Shipbuilding Industry. RMK Marine's main customers for commercial ship construction are companies from Turkey, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Denmark, Spain, Norway, Sweden and the UK.
    Our shipyard has a modern technical infrastructure where all kinds of super yacht construction, maintenance, repair and restoration can be carried out using steel, composite and aluminum materials and construction techniques. The vast majority of the superyachts built in our shipyard have won various international awards.

    RMK Marine fulfills the requirements of ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management System, BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety, ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. It also has AQAP 2110 Quality certificate.

    1974 yılında Profilo Holding tarafından Haliç’te, P.K.M. Gemi Yapım Sanayi ve Deniz Taşımacılığı İşletmesi A.Ş. ünvanıyla kurulan Tersane, Tuzla Tersaneler Bölgesine taşındığı 1984 yılına kadar yat inşa ve onarımına yönelik faaliyetlerini sürdürmüştür. Tersanenin hisseleri 26.06.1997 tarihinde Koç Topluluğuna intikal etmiş ve 1999 Ağustos’undan itibaren şirket RMK Marine Gemi Yapım Sanayii ve Deniz Taşımacılığı İşletmesi A.Ş. adını almıştır.

    Tersanemiz, Koç Grubuna katıldıktan sonra iki adet askeri lojistik gemisi inşa ederek, 2000 yılında Türk Deniz Kuvvetlerine teslim etmiştir. RMK Marine; Milli Savunma Bakanlığı’nın, Sahil Güvenlik Komutanlığı için açtığı dört adet “Sahil Güvenlik Arama Kurtarma” gemi ihalesini 2006 yılında kazanarak, özel sektör tarihindeki en büyük muharip gemi projesini üstlenen ilk tersane olmuştur. 88 metre boyunda ve 12 metre enindeki 4 adet askeri gemiden oluşan projeye, 3 Mayıs 2008 tarihinde düzenlenen törenle başlanmış, Gemilerden TCSG Dost, TCSG Güven ve TCSG Umut 2013 yılında, TCSG Yaşam ise 2014 yılında Sahil Güvenlik Komutanlığı’na teslim edilmiştir.

    Sektördeki yenilikleri yakından takip ederek ürün gamını bu doğrultuda geliştiren RMK Marine, Türk Gemi İnşa Sanayi'nin öncü tersanelerinden biridir. RMK Marine’nin ticari gemi inşa ettiği başlıca müşterileri Türkiye, Hollanda, Fransa, İtalya, Danimarka, İspanya, Norveç, İsveç ve İngiltere firmalarından oluşmaktadır.
    Tersanemizde çelik, kompozit ve alüminyum malzeme ve inşa teknikleri kullanılarak her türlü süper yat inşasının, bakım, onarım ve restorasyonlarının yapılabileceği modern teknik alt yapı mevcuttur. Tersanemizde inşa edilen süperyatların büyük çoğunluğu muhtelif uluslararası ödüller kazanmışlardır.

    RMK Marine, ISO14001:2004 Çevre Yönetim Sistemi, BS OHSAS 18001:2007 İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği, ISO 9001:2008 Kalite Yönetim Sistemi gereklerini yerine getirmektedir. Ayrıca AQAP 2110 Kalite belgesine de sahiptir.
