Ses objectifs sont les suivants :
- sauvegarder et développer savoir-faire et compétences liés à la laine via son Organisme de Formation Professionnelle Continue
- faciliter les stratégies collaboratives de type « clusters » et accroître la notoriété des entreprises par le développement de 4 outils : les Indications géographiques Tapis et Tapisserie d’Aubusson, la communication sur les marques ambassadrices OH MY LAINE!, la plateforme web BtoB "LANATHEQUE" et l'ATELIER TEXTILE de LAINAMAC doté d’équipements sur l’ensemble de la filière laine
- promouvoir un territoire d’excellence lainière en participant aux Journées Nationales de la Laine et Européennes du Feutre de Felletin
- accompagner les porteurs de projet sur la laine.
LAINAMAC est localisé au cœur du pôle textile de Creuse, de notoriété internationale par la présence de la Tapisserie d’Aubusson "Patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’humanité" de l’Unesco. Ce pôle historique, composé d’une trentaine d’entreprises, est spécialisé sur la production de laine, la préparation des fils (filature, teinture), la décoration d’intérieur (tapis, tapisserie, moquette) et la restauration et conservation textile.
