as part of the treatment of the organic fraction, it is the Integrated Ecological Centre. It is configured as
a single interconnected plant reality for services relating to water, sludge/digestate treatment,
thermal and electrical energy recovery. It represents an example of treatment integration
anaerobic - aerobic of the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (FORSU) for an equal annual capacity
to 50,000 tonnes (of OFMSW alone).

Le attività svolte dal Gruppo vanno dal comparto idrico, con la gestione del ciclo integrato delle acque, al
settore energetico, con la distribuzione del gas metano, la produzione calore, al trattamento e allo
spazzamento e alla raccolta e smaltimento dei rifiuti.
L’Azienda, nell’ambito del settore Igiene Ambientale, gestisce attualmente l’intero ciclo di raccolta e
smaltimento rifiuti, a favore di un bacino di 47 Comuni e più di 150.000 abitanti.
ACEA Pinerolese propone un nuovo modello di sviluppo, dove i rifiuti sono trattati come risorse, e un nuovo modello d’impresa, in grado di migliorarsi e di offrire soluzioni innovative, radicato sul territorio e che ha fatto della sostenibilità e della responsabilità ambientale e sociale la sua mission.
Il vero punto di eccellenza del settore, riconosciuto a livello internazionale come caso di eccellenza
nell’ambito del trattamento della frazione organica, è il Polo Ecologico Integrato. Esso si configura come
un’unica realtà impiantistica interconnessa per i servizi relativi al trattamento acque, fanghi/digestato,
recupero energetico termico ed elettrico. Rappresenta un esempio di integrazione del trattamento
anaerobico - aerobico della frazione organica dei rifiuti solidi urbani (FORSU) per una capacità annua pari
a 50.000 tonnellate (della sola FORSU).
