CIWF (Compassion in World Farming) was created 50 years ago in England and is today an international benchmark organization on animal welfare. CIWF France has existed since 2009.

CIWF (Compassion in World Farming) a été créée il y a 50 ans en Angleterre et est aujourd'hui une organisation internationale de référence sur le bien-être animal. CIWF France existe depuis 2009.
Notre mission est de promouvoir le bien-être des animaux d’élevage et de mettre fin à l’élevage industriel, par le biais d’activités de plaidoyer, de campagnes et de partenariats.
Pour accomplir cette mission ambitieuse, nous nous sommes fixés trois grands objectifs stratégiques :
1/ Politique : Faire reconnaître que la fin de l’élevage industriel est essentielle à une politique agricole et alimentaire mondiale durable et respectueuse du bien-être animal.
2/ Législation : Promouvoir, grâce à des activités de plaidoyer et à des campagnes, une législation européenne garantissant de meilleures normes de bien-être animal.
3/ Consommation : Favoriser, grâce à des partenariats dans le secteur agroalimentaire, une meilleure prise en compte du bien-être animal dans les politiques d'approvisionnement des grands groupes internationaux.
