1.1. Mission
Since 2015, the association Le Ruban Vert, formerly Chaumot-Environnement, has given itself the mission of protecting and restoring biodiversity in the ecological corridor linking the Othe forest to the woods and ponds of Gâtinais in Burgundy.
This interregional corridor is part of the national green network and more specifically the Regional Ecological Coherence Plan. Its function is to allow the ecosystems of the Othe forest to migrate towards the North-West, as climate change progresses. This slow migration requires a continuous territory, including forests, meadows, wetlands or ponds, hedges and other ecosystems close enough to each other for seeds or animals to pass from one to the other. The intercommunal forest of Legs Thénard is the "backbone" of this corridor.
Restoring this continuity over a strip of territory wide enough for the ecosystems to be functional (they do not migrate through a 30 m wide corridor) requires, if possible, a halt to artificialization in the area concerned, and a little beyond, changes in agricultural practices, the reconstitution or preservation of ecological infrastructure... and therefore active cooperation between local stakeholders, local authorities, farmers, landowners or simply gardeners. However, awareness of the interest of this corridor is not currently acquired (see the territorial heritage audit).
This cooperation has been slowly built since 2015 with numerous awareness-raising actions on the importance of biodiversity and its vulnerability, concrete actions such as outings, conferences, inventories, pond restorations... and mobilization in favor of nature through cultural actions.Original language

1.1. Mission
L’association Le Ruban Vert, anciennement Chaumot-Environnement, s’est donné comme mission, depuis 2015, de protéger et restaurer la biodiversité dans le corridor écologique joignant la forêt d’Othe aux bois et étangs du Gâtinais en Bourgogne.
Ce corridor interrégional est inscrit dans la trame verte nationale et plus précisément au Schéma Régional de Cohérence Ecologique. Il a pour fonction de permettre aux écosystèmes de la forêt d’Othe de migrer vers le Nord-Ouest, au fur et à mesure du changement climatique. Cette migration lente nécessite un territoire continu, comprenant des forêts, des prairies, des zones humides ou mares, des haies et autres écosystèmes suffisamment proches les uns des autres pour que graines ou animaux puissent passer de l’un à l’autre. La forêt intercommunale du Legs Thénard est la « colonne vertébrale » de ce corridor.
Restaurer cette continuité sur une bande de territoire assez large pour que les écosystèmes soient fonctionnels (ils ne migrent pas à travers un corridor de 30 m de large) suppose si possible un arrêt de l’artificialisation dans la zone concernée, et un peu au-delà, des changements de pratiques agricoles, la reconstitution ou préservation d’infrastructure écologiques... et donc une coopération active des acteurs du territoire, collectivités locales, agriculteurs, propriétaires fonciers ou simplement jardiniers. Or actuellement la prise de conscience de l’intérêt de ce corridor n’est pas acquise (voir l’audit patrimonial de territoire).
Cette coopération se construit lentement depuis 2015 avec de nombreuses actions de sensibilisation à l’importance de la biodiversité et sa vulnérabilité, des actions concrètes telles que sorties, conférences, inventaires, restaurations de mares... et mobilisation en faveur de la nature à travers des actions culturelles.
