Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind (IGDB) is Ireland’s national charity dedicated to enabling people who are vision impaired and families of children with autism to achieve improved mobility and independence. Registered Charity Number (RCN): 20009977
For over 40 years we have worked with our community of Breeders, Puppy Raisers, Home Socialisers, Temporary Boarders, Trainers, Staff, Volunteers and supporters to change as many lives as possible.
Did you know?
• We currently have nearly 400 Guide and Assistance Dogs Clients in Ireland
• All of our services are provided free of charge
• It costs €53,000 to bred, train and care for a Guide Dog during its working life
• It costs over €5 million to run our organisation each year
• We receive over 85% of our income through voluntary donations and fundraising through our Branch network across the country
Corporate partnerships allow us to expand our reach, to bring people and dogs together, to positively influence the lives of individuals, their families, friends and communities. A partnership with us is a commitment to making a tangible difference - giving the gift of independence and mobility. It’s also a great way to bring your teams together and boost morale.
There are many ways to get involved: Charity of the Year, Employee Fundraising, Corporate Donation or Sponsoring the training of a pup.
