Part 3: contraception and the menopause
HRT (hormone replacement therapy) is not compatible with all contraceptive methods so if this is something you are planning on using, some methods will not be recommended.
Combined hormonal contraceptive methods cannot be used at the same time as HRT as the hormone levels in these methods are much higher.

62% of students and recent graduates reported sexual violence and 50% have experienced harassment at UK universities.
Here's why being an active bystander who stands up and steps in matters:
1. It helps stop a potentially harmful situation from escalating
2. It sends a clear message that the inappropriate or threatening behaviour is unacceptable
3. It empowers others to respond and intervene with confidence
4. It fosters a culture where harassment is challenged

Do you experience pressure from friends to drink alcohol? 🍻
Whether you’re powering through dry Jan or just don’t drink alcohol, here are a few things you could try if you are feeling pressured to drink:
🌟 Think about what feels right for you
🌟 Understand and communicate your reasons behind saying ‘no’. This will help you feel more confident and assured when you say ‘no’ assertively.
🌟 Focus on your own opinion of yourself rather than other people’s opinions
🌟 Remember that you’re not alone. Others around you will also be feeling the impact of peer pressure and drinking alcohol too.
🌟 Talk to someone you trust for help and support
It is difficult to think a friend might not have your best interests at heart, but real friends should respect your decision to say ‘no’ and not pressure you to do something.
If the pressure is becoming too much or you’re finding it hard to be yourself within your group, think carefully about whether these are people you want to be spending time with. If they won’t respect your decision, it suggests they aren’t prioritising your happiness and safety.
