Small canteens are a network of neighborhood canteens, open to everyone, whose objective is to develop local ties through the preparation and sharing of the meal. Small canteens have been structured in a network, to share their good practices and be able to support project leaders to open new places in their territories. Currently 16 projects are being assembled.

Les Petites Cantines, c’est un réseau de cantines de quartier, ouvertes à tous, dont l’objectif est de développer les liens de proximité à travers la préparation et le partage du repas. On propose aux habitants, aux salariés d’un quartier et à tous ceux qui le souhaitent, de venir cuisiner et/ou se mettre tous ensemble autour d’une table de manière participative : chacun peut couper le pain, servir son voisin, préparer le café... et même faire la vaisselle ! Les convives peuvent venir cuisiner ou juste manger pour le midi et et le soir.
Un maître de maison, salarié de l’association, est là pour vous accueillir, faire en sorte que vous vous sentiez bien, pour assurer le respect des règles d’hygiène et pour gérer l’approvisionnement.
Tout est fait maison dans une dynamique d’alimentation durable à travers l’achat de produits locaux, en agriculture biologique ou raisonnée, en diminuant la part des protéines animales, des emballages et en récupérant des invendus bio lorsque c’est possible.
Aux Petites Cantines, le prix est totalement libre, pour que chacun puisse donner ce qu’il veut et ce qu’il peut.
Les Petites Cantines se sont structurées en Réseau, pour se partager leurs bonnes pratiques et pouvoir accompagner des porteurs de projet à ouvrir de nouveaux lieux sur leurs territoires. Actuellement 16 projets sont en cours de montage.
