EFFECTIVE
In order to guarantee the mix of staff (CNRS and University) and disciplinary fields (life sciences and ingeniérie), the laboratory is led by a director, assisted by three assistant directors, who together define and defend a scientific policy. The management is based on a management team, made up of the conference of chiefs of scientific and technical teams, and coordinators of major transversal projects. L’Institut des Sciences du Mouvement Etienne-Jules Marey est une Unité Mixte de Recherche (UMR 7287), associant Aix-Marseille Université et le CNRS au travers de l’Institut des Sciences Biologiques (INSB), Institut de rattachement principal et de trois instituts secondaires : l'Institut des Sciences de l'Ingénierie et des Systèmes (INSIS); l'Institut des Sciences Informatiques et de leurs Interactions (INS2I) et l'Institut des Sciences Humaines et Sociales (INSHS).
L'institut est situé sur plusieurs sites d'Aix-Marseille Université, le campus de Luminy, l'Hopital Sainte-Marguerite, l'Hopital de la Timone, et le site de l'IUT d'Aix-en-Provence
THEMATIQUES DE RECHERCHE
Les thèmes de recherche de l'Institut portent sur les déterminants mécaniques, physiologiques, neurologiques, psychologiques et sociologiques de la motricité des êtres vivants, l'Homme en particulier.
Le projet de l'Institut est de développer l'interdisciplinarité pour l'étude du Mouvement, afin de travailler aux frontières des champs disciplinaires.
EFFECTIF
Afin de garantir la mixité des personnels (CNRS et Université) et des champs disciplinaires (Sciences de la Vie et Ingéniérie), le laboratoire est dirigé par une Directrice, assistée de trois Directeurs-adjoints, qui ensemble définissent et défendent une politique scientifique. La Direction s'appuie sur une équipe de direction, composée de la conférence des chefs d'équipes scientifiques et techniques, et coordonnateurs de grands projets transversaux. L'équipe de direction gère la mise en œuvre de la politique scientifique de l'unité (répartition du budget, coordination des projets, programmes, et réponses aux appels d'offre...) Le Conseil de laboratoire, statutaire, assiste la Direction sur des questions portant à la fois sur la politique scientifique et la vie de l'unité en général.
L'effectif du laboratoire est d’environ 150 personnes (chercheurs, enseignants-chercheurs, ITA/IATOS et doctorants).
