D’abord hôpital –hospice édifié dans le 12ème arrondissement de Paris, au sein duquel étaient accueillies des personnes âgées de « passage », un premier établissement s’est transformé au fil des siècles pour devenir aujourd’hui un des plus importants EHPAD de France.
Aujourd’hui trois autres établissements reçoivent des personnes âgées dépendantes sur la base de projet de vie résolument axés sur la bientraitance et les soins personnalisés, au sein desquels une grande place est réservée aux familles et aux proches.
Un établissement de soins de suite gériatrique a également été créé avec 60 lits dans les années 1990 et le Foyer-Logement s’est transformé en Résidence Service Seniors.
De même, depuis 1857, date de création du premier orphelinat, le « prendre-soins » des enfants est au cœur de notre mission.
Déjà, le souci du bien-être et de l’éducation constituaient les priorités de la prise en charge.
Nos Maisons d’Enfants perpétuent cette volonté, en adaptant les accueils aux problématiques actuelles.
Dès les années 1960, la prise en charge des troubles graves de la personnalité de l’enfant, puis celle des difficultés ou problèmes apparaissant dès la période néonatale posèrent les bases des projets médicaux et soignants de nos établissements de prévention et de soins, en matière de santé mentale.
La prise en charge du handicap physique et psychique des adultes représente une vocation plus récente de la Fondation.
La Maison d’Accueil Spécialisée pour Adultes inscrit néanmoins son action dans la continuité du travail réalisé dans le secteur ambulatoire auprès d’enfants autistes.
Quant à notre établissement de réadaptation situé en Picardie, il s’insère essentiellement dans le réseau local et/ou du Nord de Paris pour les suites de prises en charges des affections motrices, respiratoires et neurologiques des adules.
