The Mont-Ventoux Regional Natural Park, a territory recognized nationally for its quality of life, was created in 2020. The Union Committee is the real decision-making heart of the PNR. It brings together elected officials from the 37 member municipalities, intercommunalities, the Department of Vaucluse, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, the Consular Chambers, the hunting federation, FNE Vaucluse and the Carnets du Ventoux. -

Le Parc naturel régional du Mont-Ventoux, territoire reconnu au plan national pour sa qualité de vie a été créé en 2020. Il regroupe 37 communes situées sur tout le pourtour du massif du Mont-Ventoux. Son périmètre va de Vaison-la-Romaine jusqu’à Saint-Christol-d’Albion et passe par la Vallée du Toulourenc. Il suit ensuite le versant nord des Monts de Vaucluse, jusqu’à Velleron, puis remonte vers le nord, en intégrant Pernes-les-Fontaines et Carpentras.
Son existence résulte d’une volonté locale de mener un projet de protection harmonieux du territoire. Le Parc a pour vocation de protéger et de faire vivre le patrimoine naturel et culturel, en mettant en œuvre une politique innovante d’aménagement et de développement économique (artisanat, agriculture, tourisme). II vise à rassembler tous les acteurs du territoire derrière un projet de développement dont les orientations partagées sont inscrites dans la Charte du Parc « Objectif 2035 ».
Le Parc du Mont-Ventoux est également membre du réseau international des Réserves de Biosphère de l’Unesco.
Le Comité syndical est le véritable cœur décisionnaire du PNR. Il regroupe des élus des 37 communes adhérentes, des intercommunalités, du Département de Vaucluse, de la Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, des Chambres consulaires, de la fédération de chasse, de FNE Vaucluse et des Carnets du Ventoux.
