Société Nouvelle is a non-profit commercial company whose mission is to implement, on a national scale, an information and accounting system on the impacts of companies' production.
Our goal is to allow each company to know the impacts of its production, and to provide unique and free access to the results thus obtained and published.
Our activities are organized around three axes:
- Administration of an open database (data and access management);
- Development and distribution of a free and open source tool for measuring indicators; and,
- Carrying out statistical work to monitor the footprint of French economic activities
The panel of indicators that we promote - Corporate Social Footprint - targets 12 key social and environmental dimensions, and aims to be a common reporting base for all French companies.
All of our resources are public and free to exploit (including for commercial use).

La Société Nouvelle est une société commerciale à but non lucratif dont la mission est de mettre en oeuvre, à l’échelle nationale, un système d’information et de comptabilité sur les impacts de la production des entreprises.
Notre objectif est de permettre à chaque entreprise de connaître les impacts de sa production, et de fournir un accès unique et libre aux résultats ainsi obtenus et publiés.
Nos activités s’organisent autour de trois axes :
- Administration d’une base de données ouverte (gestion des données et de l’accès) ;
- Développement et distribution d’un outil libre et open source pour la mesure des indicateurs ; et,
- Réalisation de travaux statistiques pour suivre l’empreinte des activités économiques françaises
Le panel d’indicateurs que nous promouvons - Empreinte Sociétale de l’Entreprise - cible 12 dimensions sociales et environnementales clés, et vise à être un socle commun de reporting pour l’ensemble des entreprises françaises.
L’ensemble de nos ressources sont publiques et libres d’exploitation (y compris pour un usage commercial).
