    Umiami is a French foodtech that was founded in 2020 with the mission to reduce worldwide meat consumption and its impact on health, animals, and the environment. We are pioneers in the development of a patent-pending process for texturizing plant proteins called "umisation". With our umisation technology, we can recreate the meat and fish fillet experience without compromising on taste and texture.

    After opening our first pilot plant innovation center last year, Umiami will inaugurate its first large-scale production plant in October 2023. The 14,000m2 site is located in Duppigheim, France, close to the German border, and will have a production capacity of 7,500 tonnes per year with one production line. Umiami is now fully ready to offer its first 100% plant-based chicken fillet to food processing and catering companies.

    Umiami est une foodtech française fondée en 2020 avec pour mission de réduire la consommation mondiale de viande et son impact sur la santé, les animaux et l'environnement. Nous sommes pionniers dans le développement d'un processus en attente de brevet de texturation des protéines végétales appelé "umisation". Grâce à notre technologie d'umisation, nous pouvons recréer l'expérience des filets de viande et de poisson sans compromettre le goût et la texture.

    Après l'ouverture de notre premier centre d'innovation pilote l'année dernière, Umiami inaugurera sa première usine de production à grande échelle en octobre 2023. Le site de 14 000 m2 est situé à Duppigheim, en France, près de la frontière allemande, aura une capacité de production de 7 500 tonnes par an avec une ligne de production. Umiami est maintenant prêt à offrir son premier filet de poulet 100% végétal aux entreprises de transformation alimentaire et de restauration.
