COUPERIN est un consortium regroupant près de 300 établissements publics et privés ayant une mission d’enseignement supérieur ou de recherche : universités, écoles supérieures, organismes de recherche, établissements publics de santé , autres établissements (BNF, BNUS, BULAC, musées...).
Nos missions :
• Recueillir et analyser les besoins documentaires de nos membres ; évaluer, négocier et organiser l'achat de ressources documentaires
• Promouvoir une politique nationale d'acquisition de ressources visant à garantir un accès égal à l'IST à toute la communauté scientifique (projet ISTEX)
• Favoriser la libre communication scientifique par le développement des archives ouvertes et de l’open science
• Développer un réseau national de compétences et d'échanges en matière de documentation électronique notamment concernant les politiques d'acquisitions, les systèmes d'information, les statistiques d'usage...
• Contribuer au développement d'une offre éditoriale de contenu francophone.
COUPERIN a construit et développé un réseau national de compétences et d’échanges, développé une expertise pour mieux maîtriser les enjeux stratégiques et technologiques liés à la gestion, la publication et la diffusion de l'information scientifique et technique. Les travaux portent notamment sur les publications en ligne des établissements, les archives ouvertes, les statistiques d'usage des ressources électroniques, l'archivage pérenne, les e-books, la gestion des ressources électroniques.
