👉What resources are implemented by public & SSE players to meet the major challenges of the future❓ How to mobilize around the concept of collective interest for a fair sustainable development❓Can the concept of degrowth be taken up by public and SSE players for a just transition, and under what conditions❓
All these questions have been addressed during CIRIEC International and CIRIEC-France conference on the 8th of November
on "Public and SSE players: contributing to fair sustainable
development" 🌱
🌍Maggie Carter dressed an overview of the possibility of a new
Eco-Social Contract for fairer Sustainable Development.
💸 Dounia Diouri, from Groupe Caisse des Dépôts, 📚 Eoin Reeves, from the University of Limerick, 👨🏫 Luc Bernier, from the University of Ottawa and 📜 Frédéric Tiberghien, French Honorary State Consellor discussed in the first panel the public actions from the States, from national investment banks and from Public enterprises that are being implemented (or not) for a fair sustainable development.
📝 Jonathan Sambugaro, from Aéma Groupe; 🚇Raimondo Cavaleri, from SNCB; 🏖Fabrice Henry from ARTS ET VIE - Voyages culturels; 🏘 Carien Neven, from beweging.net and 📣 Hugues Sibille, President of Le Labo de l'ESS, gave numerous concrete example of actions of public and SSE actors.
Finally, thanks to 🏛Sylvain Boucherand, Chair of the Environment commission, French Conseil économique social et environnemental 🔎 Wojtek Kalinowski, from Institut Veblen pour les réformes économiques and 👩🏫Maryline Filippi from Bordeaux Sciences Agro, INRAE and Université Paris-Saclay, we had the chance to open the debate beyonf the binary concepts of growth and degrowth. Many thanks to Catherine A. who made this debate possible.
