The aspiration to finally obtain equality is at the heart of our activism so that each district and each territory of the Republic is respected and that each citizen is finally considered dignity.

Engagé dans la lutte contre les discriminations, le racisme et l'antisémitisme, SOS Racisme se bat au quotidien pour mobiliser les citoyens autour d'un projet commun : permettre à chacun de s’épanouir pleinement au sein de notre société, par une politique publique de promotion de l’égalité et de la lutte contre les discriminations.
En 1984, des étudiants s’indignent que, à l’approche du XXIème siècle, on puisse encore mourir sous les coups et les armes de la haine raciale. Ils décident alors de se réunir pour créer un mouvement militant antiraciste : ce sera SOS Racisme. Toute une génération, de jeune et de moins jeunes, se met alors à porter la petite main jaune et le slogan « Touche pas à mon pote ».
SOS Racisme a évolué et progressé à travers son histoire. Fort de 80 comités locaux répartis partout en France, nous avons bâti un réseau de confiance et de solidarité avec des centaines d’associations locales. Nous sommes devenus aujourd’hui un acteur associatif majeur qui traite de l’ensemble des sujets de société. Notre combat contre les préjugés et les stéréotypes est un combat du quotidien qui passe aussi bien par nos interventions en milieu scolaire que par la lutte contre les discriminations.
L’aspiration à obtenir enfin l’égalité est au cœur de notre militantisme pour que chaque quartier et chaque territoire de la République soit respectés et que chaque citoyen soit enfin considéré à égal dignité.
