3. Clear the way for sobriety to be implemented
AGEDEN is historically part of the NégaWatt approach, particularly through its core business (see above) which deals with the notions of energy efficiency and renewable energy production. Energy sobriety has also been addressed for a long time by AGEDEN, in particular through its support center for collective projects and through advice to individuals on energy renovation.
4. AGEDEN method
Over time, AGEDEN has developed (recognized) expertise on issues of energy production/efficiency, and Energy/Habitat but also an “AGEDEN method”, notably characterized by:
- the transversal approach of the community of actors in the same territory
- educational support which tends to the autonomy of its interlocutors
- the comparative experience between territories in Isère
- intellectual honesty in the approach (neutrality / independence / sincerity)

L’AGEDEN est reconnue dans les domaines de :
- Production / efficacité énergétique
- Énergie & Habitat / Bâtiment
L’association possède de solides bases techniques. Sur ces créneaux, elle développe différents métiers, pour différents types de public.
2. Développer les thématiques de la transition énergétique
Afin de conserver son rôle d’expert de la transition, l’AGEDEN doit maintenir ses connaissances sur les autres thématiques liées à l’énergie. Pour ce faire, l’association reste en veille active et se connecte aux spécialistes des domaines : Transport / Mobilité douce, Alimentation, Eco-consommation / Économie circulaire, Adaptation au changement climatique...
3. Défricher la mise en œuvre de la sobriété
L’AGEDEN s’inscrit historiquement dans la démarche NégaWatt, notamment au travers de son cœur de métier (voir plus haut) qui traite les notions d’efficacité énergétique et de production d’énergie renouvelable. La sobriété énergétique est également traitée depuis longtemps par l’AGEDEN, notamment par son pôle accompagnement de projets collectifs et par les conseils aux particuliers en matière de rénovation énergétique.
4. Méthode AGEDEN
Au fil du temps, l’AGEDEN a développé une expertise (reconnue) sur les questions de production/efficacité énergétique, et d’Energie/Habitat mais aussi une «méthode AGEDEN », notamment caractérisée par :
- l’approche transversale de la communauté d’acteurs d’un même territoire
- un accompagnement pédagogique qui tend à l’autonomie de ses interlocuteurs
- l’expérience comparative entre territoires en Isère
- honnêteté intellectuelle dans l’approche (neutralité / indépendance / sincérité)
Cette méthode, une fois formalisée, permet une démultiplication des actions (changement d’échelle).
