Oceanide operates a unique combination of tests facilities in France including the BGO deep water basin (waves, wind, current), a wave flume and a shallow water wave tank. Tests on scale models constitute a significant activity recognized internationally of Oceanide with more than 200 tests campaigns conducted in BGO FIRST and more than 100 campaigns in wave flume or shallow water wave tank. They are performed on behalf of public or private customers or through collaborative research projects.
In addition to or independently of the testing services, Oceanide carries out engineering studies in the maritime field on behalf of public and private Clients. It is involved at each stage of a project, from preliminary studies to construction follow-up. Océanide opère une combinaison unique de moyens d’essais en France comprenant le Bassin de Génie Océanique FIRST (houle, vent, courant), un canal à houle et une cuve à houle de faible profondeur. Les essais sur modèles réduits constituent une activité importante et reconnue internationalement d'Océanide avec + de 200 campagnes d'essais réalisées au BGO FIRST et + de 100 campagnes d’essais en canal ou en cuve à houle. Ils sont menés pour le compte de Clients publics ou privés ou dans le cadre de projets de recherche collaboratifs.
En complément ou indépendamment des prestations d’essais, Océanide réalise des études d’ingénierie dans le domaine maritime pour le compte de Clients publics ou privés. Elle intervient à chacune des étapes d’un projet, depuis les études préliminaires jusqu’au suivi de travaux (maîtrise d’œuvre). Ses spécialistes s’appuient sur une plateforme de modélisation numérique performante et sur leur expérience acquise au cours d’essais en bassin et sur chantier.
