The MELODY remote ultrasound imaging system helps address the growing problem of « medical desertification » – the shortage of medical care in underserved areas. During an ultrasound exam, the expert radiologist uses very precise movements that cannot be guided solely by voice commands or by video.
Tele-ultrasound imaging allows an ultrasound exam to be carried out on a patient using the proper techniques under medical supervision while the expert is located at a different site. The expert is actually the one to maneuver the ultrasound probe on the patient’s body via the MELODY robotic arm, in real-time.

AdEchoTech a mis sur le marché la première solution d’échographie à distance au monde, le robot MELODY.
MELODY est utilisée pour répondre aux problématiques de désertification médicale en imagerie. Lors d’un examen échographique, l’expert imageur réalise des gestes très précis qui ne peuvent être guidés simplement par la voix ou par la vidéo.
La télé-échographie permet de pratiquer dans de bonnes conditions techniques et de responsabilité médicale une échographie sur un patient alors même que l’expert est distant du lieu d’examen. C’est alors l’expert lui-même qui manipule, par l’intermédiaire du bras robotisé MELODY, en temps réel, la sonde d’échographie se trouvant sur le patient.
