Value proposition

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) is a leading structure in aerospace activity in Romania. It’s personnel experience and will have been proved in many research projects as well as in many administrative tasks including the administration of the National Research and Development Program in the Aerospace Field and National Research and Development Program in Security.
The Romanian Space Agency is one of the pillars in aero-spatial research activity in Romania. The ROSA personnel experience was acquired in multiple research projects including the administration of National Aerospatial Research Program – AEROSPATIAL and National Security Development Research Program – SECURITATE.
ROSA is the national representative in the cooperative agreements with international organizations, such as European Space Agency (ESA) and Committee on Space Research (COSPAR). ROSA is also a EURISY member (starting from 2001). ROSA personnel represent Romania in specific FP6 activities, being members of prestigious research institutions such as International Aeronautics Academy.
ROSA acts at international level as spatial applications promoter, being actively involved within UN-COPUOS, ESA and other organizations initiatives. In 1999 ROSA was co-organizer for the 3rd UNISPACE III UN conference. Between 21st – 25th May 2003, ROSA organized, together with UN and ESA, the "Space Technology for Disaster Management in Europe"​ seminar. It also organized, together with EURISY, in 2004, the regional conference „Danube and Europe – A goal for spatial integrated applications"​
At national level, ROSA is the manager for the scientific/technologic aerospatial and spatial research cluster. More than 85 organizations (research institutions, universities, private companies, NGOs) are included in this ROSA coordinated program.
