Since 2004 Start:up Slovenia launch we strive to codevelop Slovenian start-up ecosystem. Our passion is driven by entrepreneurial mindset, motivation and belief that entrepreneurship is solving the problems of society.

Since 2007, we have been placing the most promising start-up companies on the map of the emerging economy through Start:up of the year competition.

Our vision is to make Start:up Slovenia the core platform of Slovenian start-up ecosystem.

We inform. We are a lighthouse in a dynamic start-up environment. We share valuable news and information for start-up community. We develop digital information channels and organise events, including PODIM, the most influential start-up conference in this part of Europe.

We promote. We expose important content and run promotional campaigns. We promote key stakeholders of the Slovenian start-up ecosystem and their programs. We help start-ups to become visible.

We inspire. We share start-up stories that can be a source of inspiration, role model, lessons learned ... We encourage entrepreneurial-thinking and help people to bring their innovative ideas to successful businesses.

We connect. We match young entrepreneurs with business angels, venture capital funds, corporate programs and a broader support environment, both at home and abroad.

We cooperate. We are seeking synergies and opportunities by cooperation with other countries’ start-up platforms to codevelop start-up networks.

We change. We make sure the voice of the startups is being heard and the action for improvement by decision-makers is taken.
