    Company History:

    Chopra Retec Rubber Products Limited (CRRPL) an SME manufacturing unit, is ISO Certified, CRISIL and Dun and Bradstreet rated and manufacturing Custom Designed Precision moulded rubber and rubber to metal bonded parts, predominantly, for the passenger car aftermarket globally, niche application including, for Exhaust Suspension and Ride Control.

    The company which exports its entire produce today, is headed by Mr Kiron Chopra, the Chairman and Managing Director who is himself a Rubber Technologist from the UK. His team of professionals includes his son Pranay Chopra, a Management Graduate and now the Joint Managing Director.

    The USP for the company’s growth revolves around the fact that they are able to supply specific application, ready to fit parts, for almost every make and model of car built on the planet, from the 1960’s till date and supply competitively, OEM quality parts at aftermarket prices, a single window supply source, waiting to be tapped by unrepresented markets. There are almost 900 million cars plying on the roads today, worldwide, with 70 million being added each year. And we haven’t even scratched the surface!

    We started as a company manufacturing moulded rubber components for the Indian Automotive industry. The numbers were limited, vendors divided and logistics a major constraint for our Lucknow based unit. We had the technical competence but no market or volumes.
    We decided to explore the export market.

    Approach and Strategy: We needed volumes and to prove our acceptability in global markets. The criteria we laid down for ourselves was an application that had a high replacement cycle and a market that would test our ability to make good quality.

    We chose the applications under the car where the parts took the maximum beating and focused on Germany for ascertaining our ability to make quality. The area of application we also started with, was Exhaust System suspension of passenger vehicles.
