Leader mondial du refit et de la réparation de grands yachts, le site naval de La Ciotat est géré par la Société Publique Locale La Ciotat Shipyards.
Spécialisé dans les unités de plus de 50 mètres, cette activité s’est développée grâce à la présence d’infrastructures portuaires remarquables. Outre 1600m de quais à usage industriel, le site offre une capacité de mise à sec simultanée d’une cinquantaine de navires de toutes tailles grâce à
un ascenseur de 2000t (17 emplacements), une grande forme de 200m (2 à 4 emplacements), un grand portique de 600t (6 emplacements) et
un élévateur à sangles de 300t (24 emplacements). Ces infrastructures seront complétées en 2022 par un nouvel ascenseur à bateaux de 4300t
(7 emplacements).
