The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority is an EU agency based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It is one of three European supervisory authorities which, together with the European Systemic Risk Board, make up the European System of Financial Supervision.

EIOPA’s overall goal is to strengthen consumer protection and financial stability for the benefit of Europe’s economy, its businesses and, above all, its citizens.
