    The French competition authority is an independant institution specialized in the supervising of anticompetitive practices, providing expertise on market functioning and reviewing merger transactions. It was created in 2009, after transformation of the Conseil de la concurrence. Serving the consumers’ interests, its goal is to uphold fair competition and contribute to the competitive functioning of markets in Europe and at the international level.
