Entre sus objetivos está establecer un marco regulatorio adecuado para el sector y comunicar el impacto positivo de su actividad sobre el tejido industrial y la creación de empleo que genera. Adscrita al Pacto Mundial de la ONU, una de las principales misiones de ASCRI es impulsar la sostenibilidad entre sus socios y en las empresas en las que invierten. También promover el desarrollo profesional a través de programas de formación e impulsar activamente el conocimiento a través de la publicación de informes estadísticos y estudios de impacto económico y social, que demuestran el valor añadido que aporta este sector.
