    The Tennessee Smokies are the Home of the “Nine-Inning Vacation!” The Smokies are the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs and member of the 8-team Southern League. The Tennessee Smokies have a long and proud history in Knoxville, Sevier County and eastern Tennessee.

    2017 was another successful season, building on the strength of the last several years and again taking it another step further, The Tennessee Smokies saw the largest crowd in franchise history with 313,796 fans coming through the turnstiles. The Smokies also set a new single game attendance record on June 17th, welcoming 8,164 fans to the game that evening, and a new average attendance record of 4,981.

    As the Double A Affiliate of The Chicago Cubs, the Tennessee Smokies have played an in important role in developing some of the top talent currently in the major leagues. Stars like Kris Bryant, Kyle Hendricks, and Javier Baez have all earned their stripes at Smokies Stadium Other notable players include Jake Arieta, Carl Edwards Jr., Wilson Conteras, Miguel Montero, Addison Russell, Albert Almora Jr., Chris Coghlan, Kyle Schwarburg, and Jorge Soler. The Tennessee Smokies brand has continued to grow and reach beyond East Tennessee.

    Smokies Stadium is located just east of Knoxville on I-40 at exit 407 – the Gateway to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Smoky Mountains National Park. Smokies Stadium is a multi-use facility that hosts events other than Smokies games, such as concerts, car shows, community walks, fun runs and holiday events.

    The Tennessee Smokies have a long and proud history in Knoxville, Sevier County and eastern Tennessee.
