The CCN-CERT is the Information Security Incident Response Capability of the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN). This service was created at the end of 2006 as the Spanish Government CERT and its functions are included in RD 421/2004 regulating the CCN and in RD 3/2010, of January 8, regulating the National Security Scheme. According to this RD, the CCN-CERT has responsibilities in cyberattacks on Administration systems, classified systems and, in coordination with other agencies, on systems that manage critical infrastructures.
Its main mission is to offer all Public Administrations (general, autonomous and local) the capacity to prevent, detect, analyse, respond and coordinate against cyberattacks that they may suffer and to actively confront the new threats to which they are exposed. To this end, it has, among others, the following services:
-Support and coordination for the treatment of vulnerabilities and resolution of incidents
-Research and dissemination of best practices (CCN-STIC Guides)
-Training for Administration personnel specializing in cybersecurity
-Information on vulnerabilities, alerts and warnings of new threats
As a Government CERT, it offers the information, training, recommendations and tools necessary for Public Administrations to develop their own incident response capabilities, being their coordinator at the state public level.

Fortaleciendo la ciberseguridad española
El CCN-CERT es la Capacidad de Respuesta a incidentes de Seguridad de la Información del Centro Criptológico Nacional (CCN). Este servicio se creó a finales del año 2006 como CERT Gubernamental español y sus funciones quedan recogidas en el RD 421/2004 de regulación del CCN y en el RD 3/2010, de 8 de enero, regulador del Esquema Nacional de Seguridad. De acuerdo a este RD, el CCN-CERT, tiene responsabilidades en ciberataques sobre sistemas de la Administración, sistemas clasificados y, en coordinación con otros organismos, sobre sistemas que gestionen infraestructuras críticas.
Su principal misión es ofrecer a todas las Administraciones Públicas (general, autonómica y local) la capacidad de prevención, detección, análisis, respuesta y coordinación ante los ciberataques que puedan sufrir y afrontar, de forma activa, las nuevas amenazas a las que están expuestas. Para ello cuenta, entre otros, con servicios de:
-Soporte y coordinación para el tratamiento de vulnerabilidades y resolución de incidentes
-Investigación y divulgación de mejores prácticas (Guías CCN-STIC)
-Formación al personal de la Administracion especialista en ciberseguridad
-Información sobre vulnerabilidades, alertas y avisos de nuevas amenazas
Como CERT Gubernamental ofrece la información, formación, recomendaciones y herramientas necesarias para que las Administraciones Públicas puedan desarrollar sus propias capacidades de respuesta a incidentes, siendo su coordinador a nivel público estatal.
