The “Pilot Center” of 3D technology is born. And it is born in the heart of one of the areas with the highest density of manufacturing companies in Italy. The opportunity comes from the partnership signed between the consulting and prototyping hub of the Confartigianato Artser Group, Faberlab and ARBURG, the multinational leader in the production and sale of injection molding machines and 3D devices for the plastic manufacturing industry.
A unique opportunity to bring ARBURG innovation and technology to 3D printing in Italy, this being the first pilot center of its kind on a national scale as well as a sort of knowledge and training factory, with its declared vocation to provide support services to companies wishing to approach ARBURG 3D technology.
Born in Tradate in 2014, grown in Saronno since 2020 and arrived at international evolution in 2023, today Faberlab opens the doors of the new headquarters in via Saronnino 86 in Origgio to “Faberlab powered by ARBURG”, the pilot center that will offer direct support to companies, through application, consultancy and development and, at the same time, will guarantee a technological plus to the Saronnese area, transforming it into the heart of a unique collaboration on a national scale from which will also descend training and dissemination activities, development of finishing processes, 3D printing for companies and industries, internships and school-work alternation.
The initiative launched by Faberlab and ARBURG has allowed the installation of Freeformer 200–3X and 300–3X printers in Faberlab, in particular the latter model allows polymer granules to be processed at high temperatures (PEEK, ULTEM), guaranteeing prototypes high-level performance, for non-standard applications.
Furthermore, the machine park has seen the implementation of FMD technology thanks to the InnovatiQ TiQ5 printer.

Nasce il “Centro Pilota” della tecnologia 3D. E nasce nel cuore di una delle aree a più alta densità di imprese manifatturiere d’Italia. L’occasione arriva dalla partnership siglata tra l’hub di consulenza e prototipazione del Gruppo Confartigianato Artser, Faberlab e ARBURG, la multinazionale leader nella produzione e vendita di presse per lo stampaggio a iniezione e dispositivi 3D per l’industria manifatturiera della plastica.
Un’occasione unica per portare l’innovazione e la tecnologia ARBURG sulla stampa 3D in Italia, essendo questo il primo centro pilota di questo genere su scala nazionale oltre che una sorta di factory della conoscenza e della formazione, con la sua vocazione dichiarata a fornire servizi di supporto alle aziende che desiderino approcciare la tecnologia 3D di ARBURG.
Nato a Tradate nel 2014, cresciuto a Saronno dal 2020 e arrivato all’evoluzione internazionale nel 2023, oggi Faberlab apre dunque le porte della nuova sede di via Saronnino 86 a Origgio a “Faberlab powered by ARBURG”, il centro pilota che offrirà supporto diretto alle aziende, attraverso applicazione, consulenza e sviluppo e, al contempo, garantirà un plus tecnologico all’area del Saronnese, trasformandola nel cuore di una collaborazione unica su scala nazionale dalla quale discenderanno anche attività formative e divulgative, sviluppo di processi di finitura, stampe 3D per imprese e industrie, stage e alternanza scuola-lavoro.
L’iniziativa messa in campo da Faberlab e ARBURG ha consentito l’installazione in Faberlab di stampanti Freeformer 200–3X e 300–3X, in particolare quest’ultimo modello consente di lavorare granuli di polimeri ad alte temperature (PEEK, ULTEM), garantendo ai prototipi performance di alto livello, per applicazioni fuori dagli standard.
Inoltre, il parco macchine ha visto l’implementazione della tecnologia FMD grazie alla stampante InnovatiQ TiQ5.
