Cubic Transportation Systems announced the launch of a new innovation centre in Redhill, Surrey, to advance research and explore how emerging technologies can help solve key public transit challenges. In a joint effort with academic experts from Imperial College London through Imperial Consultants, the centre’s initial focus will be on leveraging AI and machine learning to improve financial sustainability for transit agencies and tackle complex issues such as fare evasion.
The centre will build upon Cubic’s legacy of innovation and technical excellence in transit. Research efforts are already underway, and the centre is set to open in September 2025.

Cubic has been awarded the contract to deliver SEPTA Key 2.0, which aims to modernize fare collection with state-of-the-art technology in Philadelphia. Riders can look forward to new features like virtual Key Cards, improved digital tools, and equity-focused fare options, all designed to enhance the transit experience.

"The P5 IS brings a revolutionary level of training integration between 4th and 5th generation aircraft, while safeguarding Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
