South Yorkshire's youth homeless charity providing support, shelter & life skills to young people aged 16-25.

Roundabout is Sheffield's local youth housing charity, providing shelter, support and life skills to young people.

We have an emergency hostel that provides a safe place for 19 young people to stay, aged 16-21. All young people are assigned a key worker who helps them with their journey to independence. Next door to the hostel, we have our No 11 property which has 5 self-contained flats, providing accommodation for 8 young people. Residents here have the same key work as they do in the hostel, but they will have started working towards some form of education, training or employment.

Our Supporting Tenants team offer support for young people who are living in their own property. They provide the level of support necessary for them to maintain their own tenancies and empower them to continue independently.
We also have a Resettlement Team which has around 40 properties, available for young people to live in to prepare them for independent living in a semi-supported housing setting. These houses are primarily for young people referred by either social services or Sheffield Youth Justice Service.

Roundabout is strongly committed to preventing young people from becoming homeless. Our Homeless Prevention Service offers advice and support to young people who are homeless or at risk from becoming homeless. Where possible, we work with the family by offering mediation sessions, to help them find solutions to issues that will enable a safe return home.
We have a dedicated team of Peer Educators who are all young people who have experienced homelessness. They visit Secondary Schools across the city, aiming to raise awareness of youth homelessness, break down stereotypes, explore the reasons young people become homeless using real life stories and inform young people of local organisations that can help with problems at home.

To learn more about our charity or to get involved with fundraising or volunteering then please don't hesitate to get in touch.
