Sèlvans Association was born as a group of people who, without profit motive, work together with the main mission of conserving the most unique forest heritage and of highest natural value, which we could consider as the "old town" of the forests. In Catalonia we want it to occupy a minimum of 5% of its forest surface, including its best forests.
To achieve this, we apply mechanisms of co-responsibility and involvement of society, both by individuals and organizations/companies. We also rely on the valorization of the ecosystem services of forests, including those related to the health and well-being of people, working on #TherapeuticForests and #ForestBathing as a new health and well-being service.
The birth of the association represents the consolidation of 13 years of deployment of the Sèlvans program, after its time at Acciónatura ("Fundación Natura") between 2013 and 2016.

Asociación Sèlvans nace como grupo de personas que, sin ánimo de lucro , trabajamos conjuntamente con la misión principal de conservar el patrimonio forestal más singular y de más alto valor natural, el que podríamos considerar como el "casco antiguo" de los bosques. En Cataluña queremos que llegue a ocupar un mínimo de un 5% de su superficie forestal, incluyendo sus mejores bosques.
Para conseguirlo, aplicamos mecanismos de corresponsabilización e implicación de la sociedad, tanto por parte de particulares como de organizaciones/empresas. También nos apoyamos en la valorización de los servicios ecosistémicos de los bosques, incluidos los relacionados con la salud y el bienestar de las personas, trabajando los #BosquesTerapéuticos y los #BañosDeBosque como nuevo servicio de salud y bienestar.
El nacimiento de la asociación supone la consolidación de 13 años de despliegue del programa Sèlvans, después de su paso por Acciónatura ("Fundación Natura") entre 2013 y 2016.
