    JA South Africa is a nationwide, autonomous, non-profit organisation. For close on four decades we have offered leading edge experiential learning in entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness to create pathways for employability and job creation. Annually, we reach up to 10 000 school learners and young adults.

    Our programmes ensure young people are equipped with:
    - Entrepreneurial and life skills to enable them to start up and run their own businesses;
    - Understanding of financial matters and awareness of economic issues
    - Increased capacity to enter tertiary education studies, particularly in business subjects
    - Greater self-confidence and a proactive approach to shaping their future careers

    In our flagship Enterprise Programme, Grade 10 and 11 learners form companies and go through the entire process of starting and running businesses while the premium year-long Youth Enterprise Development Programme guides 18 to 35 year-olds through the process of establishing sustainable businesses.

    Through our affiliation with JA Worldwide, comprised of six regions and over 100 member countries, and the
    JA Africa regional network, we have access to best practices and a broad range of evolving programmes that we customise for our local context.

    Registered as an educational trust and subject to the governance of an independent board of directors, JASA provides its stakeholders with responsible, effective management and the tax advantages associated with an educational trust. Our impact is the direct result of our collaborations with funders, partners, alumni and volunteers and we have flexible sponsorship options ranging from funding larger-scale national programmes to one-day regional interventions, with funders gaining B-BBEE and SED points under skills, enterprise and socio-economic development.
