NCCK is an alliance of 27 churches and 17 christian organisations formed in 1913 to nurture a common understanding of the scriptures and enhance the creation of an equitable, just and sustainable society in Kenya. National Council of Churches of Kenya is a family of Christian communions and organisations.

The Council works for the holistic development of all persons as guided by her motto: "For Wananchi" (For Citizens)
