    BetterPoints has been changing behaviours in transport and health since 2010.

    We combine behaviour change science with our unique technology and targeted communications. Whether you want people to walk to the park, cycle to work, wheel to the shops, use public transport in town, attend an event, engage with a consultation, recycle more... BetterPoints campaigns motivate them to do it and make it engaging and rewarding.

    BetterPoints programmes cycle repeatedly through four key steps – Gamification, Tracking, Rewards, and Messaging – to motivate new activities until they become new behaviours. We combine rewards, technology and expertise with more than 40 behaviour change techniques.

    BetterPoints programmes produce masses of anonymised data to build graphs, charts and heatmaps for analysis, reporting and modelling, for example:

    – CO2 and NO2 emissions avoided
    – Transport habits
    – Healthy activity
    – Calories burned
    – Behaviour change

    We combine user-generated data (waypoints, transport modes, speed, time, duration, eligibility, rewards), with demographic data (age, gender, postcode etc) and survey responses.
